Making a Monetary Donation

We are U.S. Tax Exempt Private Foundation.

Making a Monetary Donation

The Templin Foundation accepts two types of monetary donations, both of which are tax deductible (in the U.S. and elsewhere by applicable law). The first type is a general donation, where the funding will be dispersed among our six purposes with primary emphasis on the first three (please see the mission statement). The second type is a purpose specific donation, where you select the area where the funds will be used (e.g., library, scholarships, lecture series) . All donations are considered general unless otherwise specified. We accept donations in the form of personal check, money order, cashier's check and other forms of certified bank draft. We prefer U.S. funds; however, established foreign currencies accepted by U.S. financial institutions are also accepted. Please contact our Principal Executive Officer for the current address of our office.

Making a Book Donation

The Templin Foundation gladly accepts donations of books on topics of Germanic studies. Book donations are tax deductible (in the U.S. and elsewhere by applicable law). Please contact our Principal Executive Officer for the current address of our office. After books are received and evaluated (condition, topic, etc.), we will send you a receipt which will state the value of your donation (when you file a tax return, this value is treated just like a monetary donation for tax purposes). You are responsible for shipping costs, and the Templin Foundation is not responsible for damages in transit (please package the books carefully and/or insure them).
